General conditions of sale

1. Contract Scope / Stipulation

Chiccodoro.com is the official online shop for the Caffè Chicco d’Oro company, headquartered in Balerna. For any business relationship between Caffè Chicco d’Oro and the client, only the following general conditions apply. A contract with Caffè Chicco d’Oro is concluded at the moment that the client sends an order to the online shop. Any changes to these conditions will not be recognized without the written approval of Caffè Chicco d’Oro.

2. Property

The merchandise remains the property of Caffè Chicco d’Oro until payment by the client has been completed.

3. Offer

All products shown in the shop are delivered directly from the producer. The delivery will be performed by post or courier. In case of a temporary shortage of an item, the customer will be notified. The indicated supply terms are intended as guidance only. In no case will any indemnification be recognized for the exceeding of the normally expected terms.

4. Prices

All prices are in Swiss Francs and are valid for the Swiss market, as well as for export to countries where we are not represented. The prices quoted by us include value added tax (VAT). In addition to the prices shown, for each delivery within Switzerland, an extra charge of Fr. 7.50 will be calculated for each delivery up to 20 Kg. For international deliveries, these will be calculated by the system and the courier fees will be billed.

5. Method of payment

Payment must be made by credit card (VISA, MasterCard), Postfinance, or by bank transfer.

6. Obligations / Jurisdiction

These conditions of sale are governed by Swiss law and shall be construed in accordance with it. The place of jurisdiction for disputes of any nature is the headquarters of the company, Balerna.

7. Release clause

Anything not contained or described in these general conditions is subject to Swiss law.

8. Liability / Warranty

Caffè Chicco d’Oro is liable for material damages in accordance with the law. Any performance warranties and terms are indicated in the item description.

9. Delivery

As a general rule we will deliver, within Switzerland, the ordered merchandise within 7 days. Abroad, the normal terms are between 14 and 20 days. For international deliveries postal expenses are calculated automatically. The value added customs and/or tax duties for the country in question will be billed separately by the customs office and are paid by the recipient.

10. Right of withdrawal

We grant a right of withdrawal on purchased products. The withdrawal must be communicated in writing (letter or email) within 14 days of receipt of the merchandise in question. For confirmation of withdrawal, the delivery date of the same shall be decisive. The withdrawal should be addressed/sent to:

The merchandise, in case of withdrawal, should also be sent to us in the original packaging. The return costs of the merchandise shall be paid by the client. The purchase price will be reimbursed upon arrival of the merchandise. We reserve the right to make any deductions to the purchase price for any damage or excessive use of the returned merchandise.
